As series two came closer and spoilers started leaking out, I noticed a split developing on the boards between those who wanted to know and those who didn't. And when I thought about Sam and Gene, I thought they'd perfectly embody each of those positions. Of course, Sam would be the one to remain unspoiled, while Gene would naturally skip right ahead to the end.

I particularly like how Yayster has drawn Sam's pens all neatly lined up. And in case you noticed, yes, Gene's cigarette is backwards in the second panel. I mentioned this to Yayster, whose defense was "I don't smoke!" Well, then. There you have it. —Blanca
