Yayster had a break from school and was ready to draw another comic, but I was starting to panic because I didn't have any good ideas. Then, while on a business trip to London, I took the train up the Manchester and got inspired thinking about how close the second series was. I thought of the boys getting ready to start up again and this one just fell together.

It's the little details in her drawings that really make the comics work: the cycling proficiency leaflet on the corner of the desk, the sweat on Sam's lifeguard shirt, the spilled beer on the bar. I love that.

Also, this one is notable because the first time I explained it to Yayster was over the phone while in Manchester. It was the first time we'd ever talked in person. I think I might have scared her a bit. But she still wanted to work with me, so I guess it wasn't that bad. —Blanca
